Summary

This book is about a girl named Jessica who is in an accident on a school bus coming home from a track meet. One of her legs is so badly injured that it needs to be amputated below the knee. This book describes how she struggles to get back to a "normal life" with a prosthetic leg, and being viewed by some as having a disability. Jessica's math teacher makes her sit in the back with another girl in a wheelchair, whose name is Rosa. Rosa has had cerebral palsy since she was a child. The two become best friends. Just walking again isn't Jessica's only goal; she wants to run. She takes Rosa along with her on her journey to run because Rosa has never and will never run or experience that feeling. Overall, it was an amazing book. I loved it!
