When I daydream, my mind surely goes to a place just like this. Wes Anderson presents a wonderfully fantastical and extraordinary story in which love prevails for two 12-year old outcasts. Using tones similar to a faded Polaroid, the scenes hone in on colour palette that is typically Wes. And the music does not disappoint either- from a catchy French pop tune, to dramatic orchestral scores that foreshadow each new crisis. Strikingly weird, curiously charming, and an ode to all adventurers with a purpose. P.s. I'm a raven.
