Although I don’t speak French fluently, I still found this movie to be an absolutely heartwarming and inspiring film. Through subtitles, I was able to clearly see what the producers were trying to showcase; the fact that differences, which are significant in this case, cannot stop an incredibly strong bond and relationship from forming between 2 people who have little to nothing in common. The storyline itself was extremely moving and well-written and the producers explored a wide range of appropriate content for mature audiences. Not only did the producers provide first-hand and second-hand perspectives of what it’s like to be handicapped and/or be a caregiver for those who are handicapped, but they included countless details that haven’t been discussed or disclosed in depth in most movies with a similar plot. Overall, I absolutely enjoyed watching this emotion-packed film and I’d definitely recommend it to mature audiences looking for a comedic approach to disclosing the personal aspects of a sensitive topic. @BiggerPictureReviews of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library.
