A quaint animated bedtime story (of my youth) with undertones of tolerance, self-worth... Written, produced, and scored by Harry Nilsson -- an imaginative guy! Narrated by Ringo (originally telecast with Dustin Hoffman; why change things?), and Mike Lookinland (Bobby Brady) as the pointless protagonist "Oblio". The artwork is sketchy and crude, and it's unquestionably a groovy '71 feature (I think the "Rock Man" was a stoner). Definitely not as I remembered it, but evidently it has some kind of cult status -- its rating on IMDb is 7.9 out of 10 stars! A cool sentimental experience for me, anyhoo.
