Out of Eden

the Surprising Consequences of Polygamy
Nov 15, 2016douglasulrich rated this title 3.5 out of 5 stars
This book was written by a scientist. The font is small and the evidence/conjecture well explored. Most people will not be able to make it through the entire book, but for those that do they will what I find to be a convincing case for a human history of rife with polygamy. The author makes sure to note that while he is making cases of human biological tendencies toward polygamy that he is not saying they are immutable or that monogamy is incorrect. I find the author carefully balances the biological tendencies he is explaining with the actual social constructs we now live in and would highly recommend this for anyone whom also finds themselves looking back at our history to figure out whom we are now.
