I really liked the story in this book. But I got to the final show down scene and thought, "Oh, I've read this before." Which is really funny because I didn't think that about the rest of the book - but maybe I have. This is the second book I've read by Tana French, and I totally forgive her for the identity of the culprit in the other one. I was put off by the many uses of the 'f' word and other 'cursing' expressions. Additionally, I got really tired of one of the names of God being used as a curse. I found the language to be most inappropriate coming from characters in 'professional' positions. Also, the issue with the language is not confined to individual characters or specific situations, but is pervasive throughout the novel. [Though I understand that some people probably do talk like that, many other people don't - so she's not just 'being real'.] Other than that though, I liked it and wish that someone would write just like her, but with less cursing.
