Dawoud Bey & Carrie Mae Weems: In Dialogue at Seattle Art Museum - Reading List for Youth

The Seattle Art Museum is exhibiting “Dawoud Bey & Carrie May Weems: In Dialogue” from November 17, 2022 to January 22, 2023. Photographers Bey and Weems explore complex visions of Black life in America through intimate portraits, dynamic street photography, and conceptual studies of history and culture -- from Harlem, to the coastal Sea Islands, to historical sites of the Underground Railroad and the American South.
