American Labor History in Stories, Pictures & Song

Solidarity forever! This list of books, movies, and music will lead you through the history of organized labor and workers' rights in Seattle, Washington state, and the United States. From documentaries to poetry, from Disney animators in the 1940s to migrants workers farming in Western Washington today, these books reveal how small deeds and heartbreaking sacrifices alike have led to the labor rights many enjoy today. But the struggle for humane working conditions continues for many and these titles also offer insights into what the future holds for American workers.
