Coast Salish Stories for Children and Teens

Requested by the Snoqualmie Tribe, this is a list of children and teen titles. Works include characters within Coast Salish communities; by authors identified as or affiliated with Coast Salish Bands, Tribes, and Nations; as well as stories, oral narratives, and traditions from the Coast Salish region. The term “Coast Salish” refers to a language family, including two dozen distinct languages and many dialects, and is used to indicate the cultural group of indigenous peoples who speak or spoke these languages. Consider those titles created by Native voices first.
