Seattle Picks: Tigers

Tigers (Panthera tigris) are critically endangered. Once flourishing in much of southern Asia, these large cats have lost over 90% of their natural habitat and are now found in isolated populations. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) estimates that there are fewer than 2,500 adult tigers in the wild today (compared to more than 100,000 a century ago). To bring attention to their plight, librarians at The Seattle Public Library created this list of nonfiction and fiction works featuring tigers.
