Seattle Picks: New Readers - Comics

Comics are a great way to practice new reading skills and often motivate kids more than other types of books. This list covers a range from beginning to independent readers. If a book is too hard when you check it out, have your new reader read the words they can, and tell you about what is happening based on the pictures. This is great for building comprehension skills.
