Though the Monster Manual and Dungeon Master's Guide are both useful for the DM, the Player's Handbook is the one I come back to time and time again. I couldn't count the number of hours I've spent poring over this tome, figuring out ways…

The best book you'll find on how to play, make a character, and some parts on how to be a DM. Some parts are confusing, but that's just me.

This is a core rulebook for anyone who wants to play D&D. It helps you create a character, with options for fantasy races (ex.- dwarf, elf, halfling), classes (ex.- wizard, fighter, bard), backgrounds (ex.- folk hero, sailor), spells…

The rules and basics of getting started playing the popular tabletop role playing game. Fans of old school Dungeons and Dragons may find the fifth edition of the game a homecoming, and newcomers may appreciate the simplified mathematical…

So far the best player's handbook released by WotC. The only con is that it doesn't have magic items, which I should be used to now I guess, as the 4th edition one did.

Ready for some adventure? D&D 5th edition delivers endless hours of entertainment, no wifi required. If you've never played roleplaying games before, this is a great place to start. I've been playing D&D since 3rd edition and this is by…

5th edition D&D is a great game, but I'm not sure it really deserves the hallowed title of Dungeons & Dragons. I mean, what is with these new rules? Every class advances on the same XP chart? And you can switch between classes at whim,…

I'm a longtime RPG geek. I'm a big fan of 5th Edition D&D. It hits a good balance between depth and accessibility that makes it enjoyable for established players, but easy to teach to new ones. I also like how 5th Edition emphasizes…

D&D is BACK! ...Which I don't feel I even have the right to say, having started with 4th edition and loving it. But I now see what all the grognards were talking about and this first release for the 5th edition game is a return to form. …
