A young girl growing up under the influence of her uncompromising Rastafarian father. It's a very readable look at a culture I was not familiar with. Reach for this if you enjoyed Educated by Tara Westover.

An interesting and funny account of Mercer's years doing the Rick Mercer Report. I would highly recommend the audio version to hear Rick narrate his own book. His voice and personality make the stories come to life.

Actually anyone could benefit from this book because it explains the most common source for the mental/emotional health crisis of our young people. I'm years late to the party on this book. Gillian Flynn is a go-to author for a good psychological thriller. This isn't as strong as Gone Girl but still very worth reading.

The glamour, gossip and heartache of the literary elite during the jazz age. I enjoyed this and would recommend it to anyone who reads historical fiction or who is interested in the time and people.

A young Irish women deals with the trials and tribulations of figuring out her life. This will appeal to fans of Sally Rooney, although Caroline O'Donoghue has her own unique voice. I enjoyed the story.

This book does an excellent job of being exactly what it is, which is an incredible story told through hard science. It doesn't have much literary merit but that's okay because that's not goal. Science geeks will love it but people like me will appreciate it more on the screen than on the page. Either way, it's an impressive story. This book does an excellent job of being exactly what it is, which is an incredible story told through hard science. This is a quiet, but lovely little memoir where we get bits about the author's life and the lives of her family and friends, woven into the daily journal of running a small bookshop in her village. It's packed full of book titles and has a slow, meandering pace which is perfect for lazy summer afternoon reading. This is a quiet, but lovely little memoir where we get bits about the author's life and the lives of her family and friends, woven into the daily journal of running a small bookshop in her village. There is lots of buzz around this book and I understand why. It is very much a book for our time. This author managed to take a complete cast of unlikeable characters and use them to demonstrate every ugly thing that is brewing in our society at the moment. I was enjoying the effective way she addressed all this, right up until the end of the book when I thought it all fell apart, but I'm still glad I took the time to read it.There is lots of buzz around this book and I understand why. The information in this book was really interesting and well presented. However it is information dense and I would recommend reading it slowly, not only to take it in, but to prevent yourself from getting burned out by it. I was reading it on a deadline and pushed through it which left me feeling a bit overwhelmed with the material at times. It is very readable and easy to understand so don't be put off by the science. Just take your time with it.The information in this book was really interesting and well presented.
